Another WQ6X Radio Expedition

International Lighthouse & Lightship Weekend
allows us to demonstrate the link between
Lighthouses and Amateur Radio when it comes to
providing emergency communications between ships and shore.

For 2012, WQ6X drove the lighthouse route from Vallejo to Santa Cruz, setting up portable operations along the way. Operating the North American QSO Party (NAQP) during Lighthouse weekend gave further training in portable station preparedness.
