Radio Amateur's Field Day

Since 1934, Field Day (FD) is an emergency preparedness exercise
between Radio Amateurs in the U.S. (and possesions) and Canada.
Amateur radio operators setup radio stations at campsites, malls, schools,
emergency centers, in mobiles, maratime-mobiles and all manner of public places.

Since 1985, WQ6X has participated with team-W6SW at Sawmill Camp Flats (1985 - 1993),
at a cabin house (1994) and on Mt. Abel (1995 - 2009) in S. Kern county.

Photos from previous FD's can be found in my FaceBook photo album.

This Year, Field Day occurred on June 26 & 27

We used callsign W6SW + W6KC for the GOTA call

Last Year Field Day occured on June 27 & 28, 2009

WQ6X reserved callsign W6K for the GOTA station.

Members of Team W6SW began arriving on June 25.
